Smith's past Ceasar's Route. Average pace of 7:52 per mile. I am getting a little speed back in my short runs. Looking to be average pacing at 7:30's in the next month or two for my 5-7 mile runs and back around 8:00's for my long runs. It's been since UVM in June when I was averaging 7:30's. I think I will have the time needed now work has slowed. |

Smith's Route - 6 miles @ 7:36 pace and then .3 mile cool down around the neighborhood. This is the fastest pace I'v had in a few months. There are a few pretty good inclines on this route, I need to go out and hit a flat 6 and see what I can pace at. Getting a little speed back after a few months of slacking. Finals are over Thursday and then I will have some extra time to train. Felt really good tonight. One year ago tonight I was at the hospital. It's been a good year. |

Smith's to Bible Church Route - 8 miles at 8:13 pace. Just a nice crusier run. A lot of slush and snow to deal with and again I found that most people don't clear their walks, so most of my run was down the shoulder of the road in the slush. |

Running with the elements, rain, wind and slush, made for an entertaining run. Slow pace at just over 9 min. miles. Hit the 1,200 mile mark today for 2010, that's pretty cool considering that 1 year ago today I was in the hopital out of commission. It's been a great year and looking forward to an even better year in 2011. |

Nice Christmas Eve Afternoon run. Out past the Bible Church and back past the hospital and then went into Salem and back home down the canal road. No where to run with all the snow on the shoulders of the roads and very few sidewalks that have been cleared. Just stayed on point and dodged cars. There is a lot of drivers that do not pay attention, I had to run around the back of several that did not see me and just pulled right on through the intersection when I was just entering it. It's all good though.
