Utah Valley Half today with Court. I paced her and she did really well. This was her first race since her foot surgery 2 years ago. Last year we did not know if she would ever be able to run distance again but she has healed up great and this is the first of many to come. Cool. |

| Started up Days canyon with Court at 6:15 am wearing Perigrines, completed loop at 8 miles back at Tahoe, put on Rides, Court drove home and I ran out of Hobble Creek getting another 7 miles. Good long run with last 4 mile splits being 7:36, 7:36, 7:13 and 7:02. I was shooting for 16 miles and when I realized I was going to be short almost a mile I decided to pick up the pace. Good run. |

| 8 miles up Days Canyon and out Kirklands with Courtney, Spencer and Adriane. I wore the 12 lb Body Glove weight vest to further strengthen and prepare for next week's race. 1 hr 55 min to finish but we did stop at the top for a while and take pictures and conversate and I did not stop Garmin. Fun run. |

| This race was a different animal. I have never done an obstical race before this. 12 miles starting at 10:30 am and finishing in 90 degree temperatures. My calfs seized up at mile 8 and I struggled through the rest of the race. Finished much quicker then I expected though at 2:40, I went in thinking I had a 4 hour race on my hands. I have cuts and bruises all over my arms, legs, stomach and back from the 3 different mud crawls and rolls under the barbed wire. Darin received a 4 inch long cut acroos the top of his head from the barbed wire catching him. He bled all over. This race was a little insane and I am feeling the results. I enjoyed it and had a great time. The turn out was incredible and the race seemed to be organized very well. Something I will never forget. Aroo! |
